Located in the basement of a prestigious office tower 259 George in the heart of Sydney’s financial district, a new phenomenon is taking place. Imagine a workplace where having walked, cycled or jogged to the office, you’re greeted by “end-of-trip” facility that fuses the exclusivity of a Soho House-style private club with the luxury of a world-leading spa. This is the wonderful reality for Memocorp’s employees at 259 George Street.

Encouraging employees to be active before, during and after their day at the office, Zephyr has taken the “end-of-trip” trend to new heights – from the purely practical, to the positively indulgent. Changing the game on the way we function in the workplace – creating sumptuous spaces to chill, rejuvenate and take a moment, The Stella Collective has infused the 1,000sqm interior with their trademark ultra-cool elegance, transforming the once dark and cavernous basement into twenty-five private bathroom suites, high key sophisticated meeting rooms and a very special luxury lounge.

Embracing its subterranean location, Stella created a truly immersive environment. Dramatic touches, such as luxurious green velvet drapery paired with elegant dark timber flooring, are theatrical and delightfully cocooning. The sumptuous finishes, gleaming with brass and an array of crafted furniture in the lounge transport office workers a million miles away from the stressors of corporate life.

It was key that design comfort and wellbeing was at the heart of everything at Zephyr – everything has been very carefully orchestrated to feel good, for an inspired day ahead. Each one of the 25 personal bathroom suites, feels akin to a cool day spa, to use at the start and end or any time of the day. Therapeutic warm timbers and clean Japanese tiles make up the calming palette, while the addition of Aesop products is a luxurious nod to the indulgence of leading spas and hotels.

With a passion for the finer details, Stella also considered the importance of ambience, selecting a slick soundtrack that moves with you throughout the space. It has been said that great inspirational ideas and the pursuit of work smarter/ harder come from being in positive and nourishing environments.
