Holy wow! Seriously, don’t act like you’re not impressed. Is this not one of the most incredible interiors you have ever seen? Yuko Nagayama & Associates with landscape designer Toshiya Ogino have created this gobsmacking showroom for the Japanese leatherwear company Sisii in Kobe, Japan. The designers have literally turned the space upside-down and inside-out, crafting a completely unconventional interior by breaking many design rules. And we love that, don’t we? But only when someone who knows what they are doing does it.This retail showroom is a case study for out-of-the-box thinking. From the lush internal courtyard and trees in the interior, sloping walls, the changing levels, the display of clothes – every single element and every single moment challenges the norm, and defies the rules. Despite all this, the space makes perfect sense and feels incredibly natural. Nothing about it is “try hard”. No element screams for attention. The entire feel is beautifully considered and perfectly balanced. This, my friends, is REAL design at play.Extremely extreme L.O.V.E!More Projects by Yuko Nagayama & Associates on Yellowtrace.
