YSG Studio used finishes from Laminex’s new Colour Collection inspired by the rich hues of nature to create a vibrant and warm spaces.Featuring shades of terracotta, (Moroccan Clay), deep purples (Kalamata), subtly washed pinks (Porcelain Blush), full-bodied orange (Burnt Ochre) and aged timber (Danish Walnut), YSG has injected their signature flair into the design, whilst maintaining a versatile and neutral base tone. On conceptualising the colour palette for the kitchen, Yasmine says, “I tried to imagine what it’d feel like being dipped into a pot of sweet, warm caramel. There’s something so luscious about the deeper block colours including Moroccan Clay and Burnt Ochre that distinguish the L-shaped kitchen bench joinery, defining the primary work focus. Elevated above a platform of mosaic tiles, it has a levitational quality befitting the desired dreamy state I wanted to achieve. The floating pantry cupboard features a rich Moroccan Clay internal Laminex shade plus blue/grey Fresh Spring shelves for a stimulating surprise of colour when opened.”To see more about this collaboration visit laminex.com.au/ysg [Images courtesy of Laminex.
