Last December, I was approached by one of my all time favourite magazines, Elle Decor Italia, who were set to celebrate an impressive One Million Facebook Fans. They were taking this opportunity to discuss the spreading of design in the online communities for their upcoming issue. Yellowtrace was selected “amongst the most important influencers in the design online world” (their words), and I was asked to provide a comment for the print issue about the importance of social channels and digital media in today’s world. In addition, I did an online interview for elledecor.it in which we discuss the role of the web for the contemporary designers, and how Yellowtrace has grown from a local blog to an award-winning international publication”. (ok, big breaths…)

I can safely say I almost lost feeling in my legs when I saw both interviews earlier this week, and saw my mug amongst the most important designers and design figures in the world who are regularly featured in Elle Decor Italia. Words cannot express how significant this recognition is for Yellowtrace, particularly as it comes from one of the world’s most respected magazine I personally hold so dear to my heart.

Running a site like Yellowtrace takes an extraordinary amount of work and dedication. It is a massive, relentless commitment, and recognition like this fuels Team Yellowtrace to continue to only get better. Thank you Laure Ghisellini & Elle Decor Italia for this incredible boost, and thank You, dearest Yellowtracers, for your ongoing support.

Love always,
Dana Tomic Hughes, aka Mama Yellowtrace xx
