Wynk Collaborative has designed Auterra, a wine store and tasting space in the heart of Singapore. Drawing on the French concept of terroir, loosely translated to a feeling of the climate, soil and landscape coming together, the space is defined by soft sinuous curves and a singular colour palette.Wynk founders Leong Hon Kit and Si Jian Xin bathed the interior in earthy deep red tones, cocooning patrons in a warm and intimate ambience. Dividing the long interior into various cavernous sections, the entrance is met with a sommelier counter in a speckled burgundy terrazzo. Amber-hued glass doors lead to a cellar space at the back for browsing and deeper into the store leads to cosy sitting booths and standing counters. The boutique makes a major splash with its monochrome palette, offering a sensorial experience that evokes the allure and flavours of wine.Looking at the confidence that Wynk wields colour, you might assume the practice has always been boldly inclined. But with both Hon Kit and Jian Xin coming from architectural backgrounds, the studio’s formative years coloured far more within the lines, opting for more neutral palettes and patterns. An Eye Catching Jewellery Boutique in Ahmedabad by Muselab.A sinuous terracotta island snakes its way through the centre of the interior with jewellery pieces housed in an otherworldly biodome-like...
