Guerlain’s current exhibition, at the brand’s flagship store at 68 Avenue des Champs-Élysées in Paris, is a collaboration by the famed perfume and cosmetics house with the Maison Européenne de la Photographie and Brazilian artist Vik Muniz. The exhibition, titled “Materials: Journeys to the Frontiers of the Invisible“, is arranged in three parts, where Muniz has created a new piece for the second section of the trilogy, “La matière sublimée” — “The Material, Exalted”.

The Brazilian artist rose to international fame by creating arresting detailed “collages” from unexpected materials, typically exhibited as large-scale photographs. Working with Guerlain’s House nose to identify the raw materials used to craft the brand’s perfumes, Muniz set out to translate these ingredients as a visually rich image.

“Materials: Journeys to the Frontiers of the Invisible” is on show at 68 Avenue des Champs-Élysées until August 28th, 2016.
