After a buzzy debut last year at Milan Design Week, Vero, one of the latest Italian design brands to land on the city’s radar, has opened its first flagship store in Porta Venezia. Alongside the new space, the brand reveals 19 new colourways for the existing collection and a collaboration with the Swedish design collective Navet.

The young furniture brand creates high-quality objects for everyday life, with shapes and colours that take centre stage to bring a contemporary flair to any environment. Following a physical pop-up experience for Milan Design Week 2022, the same space now hosts the brand’s permanent home based in Via Felice Casati 3.

The store, designed by artistic directors Simona Flacco and Riccardo Crenna, is conceived as a home for the local and international community. The versatile interior welcomes different types of events, becoming an exhibition space to present the multiple collections and a meeting point for the community, a location for cultural events and a supporting platform for collaborations and pop-ups.

Two large windows offer passers-by a look into a space completely covered by moquette flooring, referencing the archetype of a home’s entrance. Two custom-made structures are instantly visible: a vertical element with a metal-like finish that uses the typical shape of a closet together with a large multifunctional counter in yellow lacquered wood resembling the kitchen space. Furniture available at Vero is displayed as both product and furniture used throughout the store.
