Circular design and lifestyle company Supernovas is launching Afterlife, it’s first easy-to-assemble, entirely recyclable furniture line made exclusively from recycled plastic. The collection, designed in collaboration with Dutch design studio Odd Matter, includes crates and benches in unique colourways. Afterlife’s playful design and eye-catching patterns prove that, if treated with creativity, waste can also be beautiful and integrated into people’s lives.Afterlife pioneers the combination of three manufacturing techniques to produce recycled assemblable objects, which include rotomoulding, pressing and 3D printing. The collection gives waste a new life cycle and is made of recycled plastic waste streams such as PE and PET, namely those found in bottles, packaging, squeeze bottles, toys, gas and water pipes.
