Wall hanging and asymmetrical lamp by Studiopepe in collaboration with Once Milano. Photo by Silvia Rivoltella. Studiopepe has collaborated with Once Milano on Sibylle, a new homewares collection rich in texture and feminine flourishes. The design and architecture studio approached colour as a decorative element, with warm and neutral tones of beige and pink conducting a nuanced dialogue with the more lively and vibrant shades of cobalt blue and burgundy. The collection consists of bed linen, embroidered cushions, lamps with asymmetrical lampshades, wall hangings, and flowing kimonos. Form pursues colour and colour pursues form in a perpetual sensory game from the two tone colour of the wall hangings and kimonos to the asymmetrical lampshades.Seemingly random geometric shapes are bound together by the graphic mark of the embroidery, while stylised feminine patterns recur throughout.According to Studiopepe, the collection is “[A celebration of] the sense of touch, through textures that are rich and essential at the same time, much like the bush-hammered stone of the lamps and the embossed designs; [a celebration of] the sense of sight, through the colours of an enveloping and deep palette, itself the expression of the inner world; [a celebration of] the sense of hearing, through the light and seductive sound of crushed linen.”Studiopepe and Coutume Studio Present Genius Loci.In a setting that breaks away from convention, Genius Loci presents an exclusive selection of pieces from some of Italy’s greatest design brands... Sibylle # 3 Kimonos. Available in earthy pink crushed linen, with embossed embroidery. Sibylle # 4 Printed Blanket. Linen quilt with strong geometric shapes. Sibylle # 5 Printed Cushion. Small decorative cushions with geometric prints. For the wall hanging, the frame is reminiscent of tree bark and supports fabrics with textures that are both strong and soft—fabrics on which irregular brushstrokes are intertwined with wool threads that speak of femininity. It is available in cream, bordeaux and taupe. The three lamps are rough to touch, drawing parallels with nature. Lampshades in crushed linen take on sculpted and “monastic” shapes, their texture highlighted by the local bush-hammered stone. The harmonious dialogue between three colours, Beige, Olive, and Vintage Pink, is interrupted by a vibrant Cobalt Blue.Tacchini Edizioni's The Art of Staging Features Works by Studiopepe & Umberto Riva. The latest collection encapsulates a finely crafted selection of designer accessories, lighting and small furnishings...
