Studio Ahead has designed a flexible exhibition space in San Francisco for boutique brand strategy and design agency Landscape. After embracing a culture of working remotely, the company craved a sense of place and physical space where they could gather and meet others.

The San Francisco-based interiors and furniture design practice, led by Homan Rajai and Elena Dendiberia, transformed the agency’s existing office into what is now a backdrop for a range of programming—from art and sculpture shows, to movie screenings. The interior offers a warm and welcoming environment for friends and colleagues to connect, mingle and relax.

Tatami-style wool carpeting and linen drapes allow for openness and fluidity, while a neutral palette and mesh and modular furniture offer versatility. The curated art collection—which includes two large abstract paintings by Amy Feldman and sculptures by Nathan Lynch, Linda Fahey, and Noam Rappaport—foster play and creativity.

Since the space has been unveiled in May, the show openings have drawn an eclectic mix of people from Northern California: artists from Oakland, fashion designers from Bolinas, editors, photographers, strategists and business leaders from San Francisco and the Bay Area; creatives of sundry brands—friends, and friends of friends.
