Introducing Slowdown Studio’s First Rug Collection Designed by Evi O.

LA-based brand Slowdown Studio launches its first rug collection designed by Sydney-based artist Evi O, inspired by the abstract and colourful exploration of mythical beasts. The collaboration is made up of three artworks extended from Evi’s latest painting collection ‘Jungle’.

Evi O is celebrated for her studio work specialising in publication and branding with some of the best in the industry including various food, travel and architecture titles. Sharing a love for working collaboratively with Slowdown, the opportunity to create this collection came organically.

“I thought maybe it’s good timing to unleash these beasts to the world in rug forms, rather than a whole painting collection,” explains Evi.

Following the success of their blankets and towels, Australian-born, Los Angeles-based designer Marc Hendrick and founder of Slowdown Studio is eager to explore new product lines. This rug launch is the first of many planned for the brand over the next year.

Each rug is hand-loomed in India made from 100% wool and available in three sizes.
