Rodolphe Parente brings playful sensibilities to his debut furniture and lighting collection Apertura. It’s about time, really, for the architect whose creative superpower lies in the details — Perente is one of the contemporary masters of mobilising expressive textures and colours.

To give the right tone to his creations, Rodolphe places the user at the centre of his creative approach, delivering an emotionally open quality to all his designs.

For Apertura, debuting at the upcoming Paris Design Week 2022, the architect broadens his range of materials to create a collection of transversality and discipline crossing. Dedicated sensitivity was brought to details, as much as the choice of colours, which feel contrasted yet subtle.

The collection includes an armchair named Taglio, made of ash wood in an absurd shape and Lacrima a low curvaceous table in birch.

The lighting series includes Golosa and Palestra floor lamps, and Gesso table, floor and wall lamps. All are made of rubber and inox, and are available in an array of the most incredible colours, ranging from forest green, yellow, purple, navy, stone and black.

The thirteen-piece limited edition collection will be presented at the Sultana Galerie in Paris from the 8th to the 11th of September.
