Dutch design studio Raw Color unveils ‘Multiply’, a solo exhibition of their work and research into colour and design through furniture, textiles and objects. Held at the Cuypershuis in Eindhoven, the show features a curated selection of interdisciplinary projects, both self-initiated and commissioned.Named after the overlapping and mixing of colours that represent the many forms of colour research central to the studio’s work, the exhibition celebrates their win of the Limburg Design Award 2023.For the first time in the Netherlands, the exhibition shows an overview of the final products as well as Raw Color’s working process. The materialisation of colour plays the leading role and can be seen as the core of Raw Color’s multidisciplinary studio. Within the field of design, the studio has a unique approach. Daniera ter Haar and Christoph Brach work together with their team on projects, either initiated by themselves or commissioned by well-known brands. Several of the studio projects are included in the collections of the Cooper Hewitt Museum, Stedelijk Museum and TextielMuseum.Communicating Climate Change Through Design: Temperature Textiles by Raw Color. The range comprises knitted blankets, scarves and socks, designed to carry climate data while providing warmth to the user... We combine it with logical systems that enable us to translate intuition into concrete results. We work closely with local producers and brands,” explain Christoph and Daniera. “These journeys can be found in the archive shelves, which show samples, inspiration and the process of our projects. We present a considerate selection of projects that radiate the bold spectrum of Raw Color.”‘Multiply’ runs until 17th September 2023 at Cuypershuis in Eindhoven.
