Right-o! Do you remember my recent post about The Research Agency workplace interior by Jose Gutierrez? Yes? Good stuff. Well I’m back with more from the talented Mr Gutierrez who also designed this tiny little gem in 2010 – a 60sqm office space for R S Scoular, a boutique law office located within a 1920’s heritage building in Auckland, New Zealand.

The brief was to create a clean, simple and elegant office that also had a “certain seriousness” about it. The openness and character of the space was respected and bespoke joinery units were carefully designed and inserted to create the architecture. – JG.

Well I don’t know about you but I don’t usually think of lawyers offices as contemporary, minimalist and even sexy. Jose is a master of creating streamlined workplace interiors which are highly resolved, elegant and almost joyful. His restrain in the use of materials and color is just as striking.
