Paulineplusluis has released a collection of mirrors in collaboration with Belgian brand and manufacturer Deknutd Mirrors. The Belgian design studio, led by Pauline Capdo and Luis Bellenger creates lighting, objects and furniture projects that are driven by the duo’s natural curiosity to explore materials and manufacturing processes. The inspiration for this project came from the production process of the mirrors. The exercise involves pouring liquid silvering onto a glass plate before being fixed by a protective layer printed at the back.Magnificent Mirrors. These shiny, reflective and often sculptural objects are not only alluring as physical items. Mirrors are also deeply linked to symbolism, myths and legends, which explains our eternal fascination with them. Inspired by objects, shapes and moments that are part of our collective imagination, their approach to product design creates a sense of warmth and surreal déjà vu that is not unlike a dream.Frames by Muller Van Severen.Frames explore manipulation of steel in a new collection of sculptural wall lights and mirrors.
