Functional Meets Fun: Kyiv Apartment by Onemoreburo.

ONEMOREBURO has transformed an apartment in the Podilskyi district of Kyiv into a multifunctional living space, catering to the diverse needs of a young couple and their cat.

With the couple primarily working from home, the main focus was to integrate a comfortable workspace within the living room without taking away from off-duty leisure time. The design team retained the existing layout while adding glass blocks and low partitions to denote areas and maintain a sense of spaciousness within the apartment. Alongside the hybrid work/leisure space a home gym was added alongside a versatile bedroom with direct terrace access and a private bathroom.

A distinctive feature of the apartment’s layout is the central hall, serving as a pivotal point for transitions. Not to be forgotten, special considerations were also made for the cat with the inclusion of a second-level route and a dedicated closet beneath the sink in the guest bathroom.

A mirrored partition between the main room and the hallway visually unites the spaces while allowing natural light to penetrate, even in areas without windows. Given the homeowners’ remote work requirements, the design aimed to create a self-sufficient space that could cater to a range of daily needs.

The master bedroom features two walk-in closets, one of which serves as a transitional space leading to the apartment’s exit, while the second functions as the primary storage area for personal belongings alongside a glam-style makeup table. The bedroom also offers direct access to a spacious terrace, perfect for barbecues and relaxation, and includes a private ensuite bathroom with ample space.

ONEMOREBURO have married functionality with attention to detail in this apartment through consistent design elements and heights implemented throughout each room to create a cohesive spatial experience.
