Dearest DUDES!It is with a juicy mix of emotions I reflect back on the madness that was MILANTRACE Edizione 2016. For those of you who may be new around here and wondering ‘what the @*$% is MILANTRACE, Dana?’ just go with the flow and you will soon work it out. Back in April, Team Yellowtrace travelled to Milan for Salone del Mobile in what’s become our annual design pilgrimage. Upon our return, we spent just over two months sharing with you all that was golden from this year’s premier design event via the MILANTRACE2016 dedicated microsite, in partnership with Living Edge and Walter Knoll. In parallel to this, we set out on a national speaking tour which saw yours truly deliver 6 live talks in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane & Perth to the Australian design community.I’ve said this before and I’ll say it again – regardless of the immense physical pain and the extraordinary workload this project brings to our little team, being able to connect with so many of you in person and take Yellowtrace into a live format is the most rewarding experience. Your support for #MILANTRACE2016 has reached a whole new level this year – the feedback and encouragement for this very ambitious project have been immensely humbling and deeply moving at times. (You know me, I’m a bit of a tragic cryer from way back.)I would like to give final Thanks to our wonderful friends at Living Edge and Walter Knoll, the Principal and Hosting Partners for MILANTRACE2016. We are so lucky to be working with two amazing brands who put so much faith in us and what we do, making our partnership feel more like a friendship rather than ‘doing business’ (THE ONLY way to partner and do your best work, if you ask me).I would also like to acknowledge the support of our airline partner, Cathay Pacific, who flew us all the way to Milan. Cathay have also been such amazing supporters of what we do, and we couldn’t be any prouder of our ongoing relationship. This year we also partnered with Lexus, who supported MILANTRACE2016 both in Milan and for our National Talk Series, for which we are also truly grateful.I leave you today with a little video from our launch event in Sydney (above) and social snaps from the Sydney launch event (below). But wait – there’s more! You can now also access the full video recording of the Complete MILANTRACE2016 Talk. Woohoo! Please feel free to share this presentation with everyone who you think might find it inspiring and useful.Thank you again from the bottom of my heart. Until next time…Always, Mama Yellowtrace x Related Posts: Behind The Scenes with Team Yellowtrace during Milan Design Week 2016. Video Highlights from Milan Design Week 2016.
