In the picturesque rooms of Palazzo Litta in the historical centre of Milan, GamFratesi, Daniel Libeskind, Emmanuel Babled and Alvin Huang told four different “Urban Stories” for the Fuorisalone 2014.Ideas of reflection and intimacy lead the design concept of the story of the GamFratesi installation. They set out to divide the rooms of Palazzo Litta into six distinct spaces, each showcasing different projects created by the pair in recent years. I was so taken by the theatrical display, the perfectly selected music, gently rotating oversized mobiles, which at times hid then revealed the views to adjoining rooms where other objects were carefully placed. For me, this was the very end of what had been an extraordinary week of design celebration, and the clever people who make it happen. I was right where I needed to be – absolutely sure that I will never forget this very special moment.
