Dearest Yellowtracers,Wowee! Team Yellowtrace is back from Milan Design Week once again. Holy moly – what an amazing trip. There have been a number of mixed reports and sentiments out there relating to this year’s events, but for my money – this year was simply amazing. We’ve seen so many incredible things – from products to events, installations and buildings. Perhaps my nose for sniffing out the awesome is getting better each year, or my commitment to extreme organisation enables us to see and do so much during the week, although – admittedly – we nearly broke ourselves in the process…Today I wanted to share with you some of my favourite moments from the #MDW14. BUT. There’s always a big fat but(t), isn’t there? This year we are taking things to the next level with our Milan report, also known as MILANTRACE Edizione 2014.Waaaaah, what the hell is that, Dana? Don’t you worry your pretty little heads. All will be revealed very, very soon but I will just say this – there will be a few talks happening around Australia, a bunch of videos and one mega digital review with a whole lot of love for Milano, Yellowtrace style. Good or good? Awesome! You see, with the proliferation of social media channels, blogs and websites, it feels like Milan Design Week gets washed over and forgotten in no time. Instagram pics are uploaded and #hashtagged, press releases are churned out, quick roundups are shared. But what about presenting it all in a cohesive fashion, addressing the highs and the lows of all the events, Milan’s culture and architecture, comprehensively exploring the sheer enormity and beauty of the World’s premier design event? Well, that’s where we come in.So before I go, I just wanted to take a moment to thank our wonderful sponsors who’ve made our trip and this post-Milano extravaganza possible. We are extremely excited to be partnering with Rogerseller, Own World, Haymes & designEX. Without them, none of this would’ve been possible and I personally thank them for their valuable support.Okey dokes. Enjoy this visual teaser and I’ll be back to reveal more details very soon.Bacci, Mama Yellowtrace x milantrace2014.yellowtrace.com.au ‘Light is Time’ installation by Citizen at Triennale di Milano.
