Available in Australia exclusively from District, Mattiazzi celebrated Milan Design Week and Salone del Mobile 2024 by looking inward, highlighting its ongoing dedication to sustainability. For the past 45 years, the family-run Italian brand has taken great care to responsibly source wood and work with thoughtful designers on considered pieces. The brand played with the idea of responsibility, keeping the role of companies in shaping the future at the forefront of the conversation. With this in mind, the design for their booth at the 62nd edition of Salone del Mobile was uncomplicated and clean. The space is built around a series of functional modules that can either be reused or recycled, and materials were repurposed to create a simple framework of pine wood and chipboard.Inside the booth, three collections—SOLO by Nitzan Cohen, DOPO by Studio Œ and PAF PAF by Marialaura Irvine—stood out in playful colours against a geometric feature wall and raw timber backdrop.Sustainability was the key objective, underscored by the company’s new Creative Director, Konstantin Grcic, stating: “The approach to the manufacturing process and the very same principle must be inherently present in every choice we make.” This Yellowtrace Promotion is supported by District.
