Monteral-based Lambert & Fils unveiled their new collection of sculptural lighting inspired by traditional Chinese screens at this year’s ICFF. The Beaubien comes as a floor lamp, wall lamp, and a pendant. Merging an industrial feel with a graphic aesthetic, the lamps are rectangular in shape and outlined in a matte black finish. Constructed of aluminium, powder coated steel, and brass, the fixtures aim to reference both modernism and the 1980’s Memphis movement, while resulting in a classic design with timeless appeal.Lambert & Fils creates original and custom lamps for residential and commercial settings taking cues from mid-century Modernism, the Industrial Age, and their own minimalist aesthetic. The studio revisits iconic motifs across the range of these influences to create its own distinctive collections. The studio extends its collection through a constant exploration of new materials, forms, and applications. With a contemporary take on its inspirations, Lambert & Fils commits itself to a tradition of quality, in-house design, and craftsmanship in lighting.
