Polish architects Agnieszka Dominik and Marlena Banaszewska have completed their first project together as La Fala Studio—a vibrant transformation nestled within a post-war tenement house in Warsaw. The 55-square-metre apartment is a thoughtful blend of open layouts, revitalised vintage elements, and a distinctive colour palette. With close proximity to lush green spaces including the Royal Łazienki Park, Morskie Oko Park, and Promenada Park, Warsaw’s Mokotów district sets the stage for the duo’s first combined creative endeavour, turning the post-war gem into a contemporary haven. With a thorough renovation needed, Agnieszka and Marlena took the opportunity to reimagine the space. The original closed layout was transformed into an open concept, seamlessly connecting the kitchen, dining area and living room. “As the apartment was intended for rental, the clients had no specific expectations regarding style or colour scheme,” Agnieszka and Marlena elaborate. “They granted us complete freedom in developing the project, which was incredibly inspiring for us.”Sugary Sweet: The Pops Apartment in Krakow by Furora Studio. This sugary sweet apartment interweaves pastels and curves into a short term rental that feels extremely soft and feminine... The architects introduced built-in upper cabinets in the kitchen, finished with pink mirrors, while the bathroom was executed in a dusty yellow shade. Two-tone, long curtains complete the aesthetic, matching the blue trimming that follows onto the ceiling in the living spaces.Signalling a penchant for subtle experimentation, La Fala Studio’s first project culminates in a space that is as functional as it is charming.Pocket-sized Kaleidoscope: Praga Apartment in Warsaw by Mistovia. This compact apartment is an eclectic home with an explosive mix of textures and patterns reminiscent of Post-Modernist era...
