I can’t say I ever thought we’d be blogging about a shoe stool here on Yellowtrace, if ya know what I’m sayin’. But when a piece of furniture is this beautiful, we are left with no choice. This gorgeous stool was created by Japanese designer Koichi Futatsumata for a fashion brand FUJITO as a limited edition item for the brand’s 10th anniversary. The stool was re-released by Opinion Ciatti and it was exhibited this year at Salone Internazionale del Mobile.

This beautiful piece is both compact and ergonomic, functioning specifically for putting on shoes. The ledge also provides support for easy cleaning and polishing of footwear, fitted with storage for care-related goods such as brushes, cloth, creams and spray. The only question left is -which finish would you get it in? For me, it’s matt gold all the way baby!
