Melbourne photographer Lillie Thompson and art director Jess Kneebone have joined forces on ‘Timber Structures’, a self-initiated photographic series exploring timber forms within the furniture landscape. The series features a curated selection of side tables, supports and stools marked by varied design approaches and treatments; each one unique—much like us, as humans.With pieces from local and international designers by the likes of Massproductions, Bieemele, Daniel Poole, Resident and hand-carved pieces from Africa sourced by Pan After, the playful project is an exploration into the diversity of the materiality, from texture to colour and shape.Larger Than Life: Martyn Thompson's 'Jesture' Collection.The Australian artist showcased vessels stacked with totems, planters, plaques and oversized hand-thrown vases painted in an array of metallic and earthy tones...
