INSIDE World Festival of Interiors, the sister event to World Architecture Festival (WAF), is the largest festival and design awards programme dedicated to celebrating architectural & interior design excellence from around the world. A global awards programme unlike any other, INSIDE offers the opportunity to hear over 40 of the world’s leading voices in interior design present their most recent work – live in front of a seriously illustrious line up of judges. Talk about a nerve wrecking moment – presenting your projects to fellow designers judging your work would have to be one of the toughest gigs. This year’s shortlist was announced a few days ago in London, and I’m here today to share some of my favourite projects with you. But before we do that, huge congratulations must go out to all the Australian projects shortlisted for both WAF & INSIDE. One in eight projects (37 out of 302) shortlisted for the WAF awards, and one in four (15 out of 59) shortlisted for the INSIDE awards are Australian. This is absolutely incredible you guys! This year projects have been shortlisted in 12 diverse categories – Bars and Restaurants, Creative Re-use, Culture, Display, Education, Health, Hotels, Offices, Residential, Shopping Centres, Shops and Transport.
