Holy Mother of God. Excuse me while I go pick up my jaw off the floor you guys. This incredible heritage apartment in Barcelona could easily be mistaken for a stylish Parisian abode. Not only does it look très French, the interior is infested with peaces by the French masters such as Jean Prouvé, Serge Mouille and Charlotte Perriand… Oh-hoh-hoh-hoh-hoh-hoh – garçon. (<< that’s me doing a French laugh. Obviously). With the help of architect Francesc Rife, the apartment was carefully renovated, keeping many of it’s original features in tact, including the layout. An intense amount of energy was spent on selecting the herringbone oak floors, in order to achieve the classic Parisian spirit. It was then simply a matter of locating the furniture of glorious pedigree to complete each space. The star of the interior is a rare bookshelf prototype by Perriand in collaboration with Prouvé – taking pride of place behind the dining table looking more like a sculpture than furniture.
