Designed by Tarruella Trenchs Studio, Casa Mimosa is the latest offering in the H10 hotel stable, located near Gaudi’s Casa Mila in a heritage-listed building in Barcelona. The timeless interior respects and integrates the original elements of the building, by blending them with contemporary and cosmopolitan elements. Natural colours and noble materials are used to bring elegance and comfort within each spaces.

Before beginning the construction works, the hotel commissioned Emilio Lecuona to undertake a photographic coverage of the building and its gardens. This resulting material is the graphic work that decorates all the spaces, including hotel rooms, corridors and a double height space in the main lounge.

The original large entrance gate of the building leads to the hotel reception, where the original coffered ceilings, marquetry flooring, timber mouldings and stone base stand out. Both in the lounge and restaurant, brass panels enhance the double height space, and the addition of a mirror on the ceiling doubles the perception of the volume. The restaurant’s tables are custom designed for the hotel, made from steel, various types of stone, combined with walnut and oak. Lamps lamps from Parachilna, Santa & Cole, Oluce and Artemide complete the space.

All the elements in the guest rooms were custom designed, including the triptych headboard finished in walnut, with reading lights from Marset and Metalarte, and suspended Bai di di lamps by Parachilna.

From the roof top terrace, guests are able to admire the views of Gaudi’s Casa Mila, while sipping on drinks from the nearby bar, or taking a dip in the swimming pool located behind a sliding partition wall.
