FvF Apartment by Vitra and Freunde von Freunden // Berlin.

The FvF Apartment in Mulackstrasse, Berlin is a monster cool collaboration between interview magazine Freunde von Freunden and Swiss furniture manufacturer Vitra. The apartment has been re-built and designed in a way that allows us to consider how “a creative, mobile and digitally-oriented generation lives”. The space is fully adaptable to the unexpected changes that happen in our every day life. Based on the collaborative duo’s shared style and experiences, the apartment – from the overall design to the objects that fill it – visualises Freunde von Freunden’s conceptualisation of urban living. At the same time it reflects Vitra’s philosophy of the ‘collage’ which can be seen in their composition of furniture and accessories.

In addition to Vitra, the apartment is a platform for many innovative products from friends and partners of Freunde von Freunden, many of which previously featured in their magazine, further contributing to a dynamic space for discussion – what does this urban culture use, what’s important? FvF is also a fully functioning space for events and presentations. Together, Vitra and Freunde von Freunden will build on this project by revealing more inspiring examples of selected creative minds through combined website content at vitra.com and freundevonfreunden.com.
