Diana Żurek and Gutek Girek of Furora Studio have created a sugary-sweet apartment for short-term rentals in downtown Krakow, Poland. With an interweaving of pastels and curves, this place feels extremely soft and feminine. Green is interwoven with pink and blue, against a background of creamy white as Furora contrasted the swirling soft hues with pops of stronger accents and layered textures.A new layout offers an additional guest bedroom adjoined to the living room that is both a sleeping area and a makeshift cinema surrounded by soft materials. The main bedroom is a pink box with a spacious bed and a green desk, popping out of a pink-clad built-in wardrobe. Most of the furniture has been designed specifically to create a cohesive aesthetic while providing functional solutions. It’s a ‘devil in the detail’ type place with bespoke furniture cuts, milling, handles—every little thing—considered to emphasise a charming and airy character.Nostalgic Escape: Foam House in Torquay by Amelda Wilde. This boutique holiday accommodation indulges the sense of nostalgia and has been designed into a space for escapism... The bathroom fines greens mixed with earthy mottled terrazzo tiles and rounded accessories. The architects definitely had some fun with the place, adding contemporary forms alongside a subtle retro atmosphere—all in a geometric style. The comfortable and colourful space is winking all round, transporting us to a Polly Pocket-esque interior that begs you to stay awhile.A Retro Modern Vibe: Beaumont Apartment Renovation by KIN Architects.A passionate home cook’s desire for a more spacious, functional kitchen lies at the heart of this Brisbane apartment renovation...
