Ex.t have unveiled Frieze at Maison&Objet, a new bathroom collection designed by Marcante-Testa. Expanding on the core idea of an Ex.t bathroom, defined by modular, versatile and functional amenities, the range is aesthetically exuberant and full of colour with a strong architectural imprint.

The collection of washbasin and bathroom accessories is inspired by Roy Lichtenstein’s ‘entablatures’ series, articulated through various intensities of signage, materials and colours. The washbasin stars as the central element of the bathroom, around which accessory products are organized. Marcante-Testa’s architectural approach involves consideration of all potential spatial dimensions in a bathroom.

The position of the sink is defined from a central wall strip, while the upper and lower sections of the wall can be covered in different materials, creating space to install a mirror, shelf, furniture and towel hooks. Each of the three washbasins, Frieze One High, Frieze One Low and Frieze Two Lined, along with the various accessories, offer a versatile system both spatially and stylistically. The combination of different shapes, colours such as pale lavender and apricot, finishes and materials allows for a number of unique combinations.

Ex.t. also introduce a new bathtub and shower system to their Art Deco-inspired Nouveau collection. The bathtub features sinuous and geometric lines and can either be set on the wall or a centrepiece of a bathroom. Just as the Frieze basins, the bathtub is made of LivingTecR, a solid, technical surface available in matt white or blush pink. The Nouveau shower system features clear and asymmetrical geometry, combining the translucency of glass with refined colours and sharp lines.
