In Bodrum, Turkey, where the Aegean Sea kisses the shore, a new retail space has emerged, capturing the essence of Mediterranean summers. Perched on the pathway to the beach, the Siedrés store seamlessly blends into its surroundings, creating a harmonious dialogue with the sea, sand, and social scene. Folistudio’s design is a vibrant homage to summer, infusing the space with an infectious energy that’s hard to resist. The interior aesthetic blends natural elements and warm hues. A continuous shell of repetitive materials envelops the space, guiding visitors through an organic journey. This clever use of materials not only creates a sense of depth but also mirrors the ebb and flow of the nearby coastline. At the heart of the design is Siedrés’s signature yellow. This bold hue is a statement that infuses the entire space with the warmth of the Mediterranean sun. It’s as if a piece of that golden orb has been plucked from the sky and woven into the very fabric of the design. The store’s pièce de résistance is undoubtedly its sculptural centrepiece. Inspired by the mind-bending Penrose stairs, this display is crafted from rich burl wood and adorned with fabrics from Siedrés’s latest collection.Evil Eye Talismans: Abide Marble Side Tables by Merve Kahraman.Handcrafted from colourful marble in unusual shapes, Kahraman’s tables feature Girard-inspired checkered fabrics used to wrap the legs.
