IN BED’s First Melbourne Store by Flack Studio.

Local purveyors of all things linen, IN BED have landed in Melbourne with a little help from their friends at Flack Studio. Located in the upmarket shopping precinct of High Street, Armadale, the second retail space comes hot off the back of Sydney’s successful flagship store and just quietly boasts almost double the size.

If the interior feels as if stepping into your trendiest friend’s home, this should be no surprise considering the brand engaged the talented Flack Studio who, amongst its many charms, is the team to go to for beautiful residential projects — just ask Troye Sivan.

“We wanted to work with a local Melbourne studio for this space who really understands and loves the city. We have worked with Flack on a variety of projects and always greatly admired their interiors, so we are thrilled to work with the incredibly talented team on our new store,” says IN BED’s Founder and director Pip Vassett.

Continuing the brand’s love of natural materials, the interior includes textured walls and finishes, some very special custom joinery and lighting along with a selection of vintage finds. The store pays homage to the 1970s with nods to female interior designers of the era, such as Andrée Putman, whilst also connecting with the brand Sydney flagship with small similar details such as raw timber finishes and Akari pendants.

At 120 sqm, the space offers more opportunity for the brand to expand on its immersive retail experience including the incorporation of an area that showcases IN BED’s dream apartment — with dining, bath & kitchen zones as well as a full bed and bedroom set up that can be designed and recreated for events and new season launches. Here IN BED’s complete product offering including bedding, sleepwear, table linen and towels gets a workout as well as thoughtfully curated products by makers and friends of the brand like Walk In The Park, Workaday ceramics, Tara Burke, Commons, Ann Vincent and many more.
