Swiss photographer Fabien Nissels is the man behind the Blocks project, in which he transforms human body parts into building block that form hilarious deconstructed forms. Genius! This idea is just begging to be snapped up by an art director for a fun ad campaign.

“I took my friend Johan in the studio and we shot four views from each part of his body. We then printed everything and fixed the images on polystyrene blocks we had constructed. Once the blocks were all finished, we took my car and went shooting them in various environments. There is no photoshop cheating – our modular man really went to all these places and always asked for souvenir pictures, except maybe the one when he was on the toilet.” – Fabien Nissels

I can’t decide which situation is my favourite. Head stand? Bicycle ride? Stack down the stairs? They are all too good, and just what the doctor ordered on a fine (Design Free) Thursday like this one.
