Estudio DIIR has designed the first Barcelona flagship for Madrid-based menswear brand Nuetrale. Continuing the exploration begun with other stores, DIIR builds on the brand’s identity with Mediterranean aesthetics and innovative materiality.

Two sculptural elements take centre stage; a curved wall defining the space’s geometry and a three-step grandstand serving as both a display and a welcoming piece. Positioned strategically, these elements not only showcase garments but also engage customers on a radial path, ensuring an immersive retail experience from the moment they step inside.

Materials were carefully curated to amplify the austerity and neatness of the space. Fetdeterra is a product made out of compacted earth blocks from the entirety of the wall and bench. With their earthy tones that speak to Spain’s Balearic Islands, they were also chosen mindfully for their local origin and sustainability.

The robustness of the Fetdeterra coexists with the sleekness of steel, creating a dialogue between earthy warmth and modern refinement. Fabrics as curtains are the final piece of the palette, their sinuosity a fluid contrast to the monumental blocks. These materials not only serve a functional purpose but also contribute to the visual storytelling of Neutrale’s ethos—a celebration of Mediterranean simplicity with a contemporary edge.

With a focus on simplicity, Nuetrale’s Barcelona flagship exemplifies the brand’s commitment to creating immersive and aesthetically compelling retail environments.
