This immersive concept space transforms the studio’s curated Instagram aesthetic into a tangible, inhabitable environment.

THE RENTAL occupies an entire floor of the iconic building, serving as the first physical manifestation of ELLISON STUDIOS.’ design philosophy. It’s not just a showroom; it’s a fully realised brand universe that invites visitors to step inside and experience the studio’s aesthetic sensibilities firsthand.

Leigh McKeown, CEO and Co-Founder of ELLISON STUDIOS., explains the concept: “As a design brand founded through the lens of social media, we have spent years sharing our creative vision digitally. THE RENTAL presented us with an opportunity to take that experience into the real world. While sharing content online is amazing, sharing this space with our friends, collaborators and clients is bringing with it a deeper sense of connection and community.”

The Edwards & Co. Ltd Building, constructed in 1926, has a rich history that ELLISON STUDIOS. has thoughtfully incorporated into their design. Original features such as five-metre high floor-to-ceiling windows and century-old hardwood floors provide a characterful backdrop for the studio’s contemporary vision.
