The Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre will host two of Australia’s up-and-coming design events—Design Show Australia and ArchiBuild Expo—for the first time as they combine forces this June 15th to 17th.

On the back of its 2022 event in Sydney, Design Show brings goodness to Melbourne alongside the first ArchiBuild show. Presented by ArchiPro, the two events will run side by side, bringing together over 8,000 professionals and 250 exhibitors from the interior design, architecture and building industries. Both events will host many insightful talks and panel discussions, which will go towards meeting CPD requirements.

“We’re proud to be inspiring the largest group of design professionals in Australia with top brands, the latest product technology and the trends shaping interior, architecture and building projects,” says Event Director Andy Vaughan.

Leading brands, including Cult, Space Furniture, Blum and Fermob, will showcase their latest collections.

Space Furniture will welcome visitors to unwind and relax in their Lounge, relaunching the iconic Camaleonda sofa by Mario Bellini for B&B Italia, more than 50 years since its initial release.

Cult will unveil Pa, a new seating range designed by emerging Australian designer Timothy Robertson for Cult’s in-house Australian design brand, nau. The collection includes a Lounge Chair, Dining Chair, Dining Armchair and Counter/Bar Stool in a range of unique native Australian timbers, American hardwoods and Kvadrat Maharam upholstery.

The event will also host Australia’s Next Top Designer, presented by WORKSHOPPED and sponsored by Cult. The competition shines a spotlight on designers, makers and creatives leading the next generation. The first edition of the ArchiBuild Expo is dedicated to architects, developers, builders and specifiers, and will present cutting-edge products, technology and solutions for residential and commercial projects. With technology and product innovations leading the charge, top brands like James Hardie, Thermotek and Dulux will all be on the ground to exhibit.

“We’re passionate about creating a sustainable future, so our inaugural ArchiBuild Expo will host a dedicated Sustainability Pavilion,” Andy continues, “and must-hear talks at both events that explore challenges and solutions for sustainable design and manufacture.”

Over at the Sustainability Pavilion, the space will showcase the latest sustainable products from top brands committed to creating a greener future for our planet. Curated in partnership with GreenTag, the Pavilion offers sustainable solutions for architects and builders.

Architects can gain RAIA Refuel CPD through attendance at the CPD stage with highlights including the ‘Sustainable Building Design for Australia’s Changing Climate’ panel examining strategies for sustainable building amid our unique climate challenges.
