This Singaporean SOHO (a popular studio apartment style accommodating both office and living space) has been uniquely reimagined by the creative duo, Joyce and Mikolaj of Design Pair. With their family growing, the partners in life and work united in a singular vision: to craft a home that seamlessly adapts to their diverse needs throughout the day.With ceiling heights above 3 metres, the initial challenge was to maximise all this vertical space. Design Pair curated a comprehensive and multifaceted storage wall located near the unit’s entrance that doubled as a place for a crib. As the defining divisional element in the space, rich burnt velvet curtains hide this from view when needed.Far from fading into the background, the panels are a feature—offering vibrancy, tactility, warmth and above all functionality.
