Holy shizzle. Are you guys dealing? Wowzers. Has Paris got it goin’ on in residential interiors or what? We may as well start calling Yellowtrace Paristrace from now on. Anyhow, can you blame a girl? The hotness is just too much. Alas, lets get down to the business, shall we?Glass & Walnut Loft is a minimalist apartment in Paris that combines clean lines with a natural touch, designed by CUT Architectures. The apartment spreads over two floors, with the wider ground floor enjoying plenty of natural light from both the street and the courtyard. The interior was conceived to fit the intense social life of it’s owners, offering a large living space that combines living, kitchen, dining room and a showroom/ study in a separate enclosure. This curved glass volume continues the transparency on the ground floor of this amazing apartment, while providing an acoustically sealed space that’s veiled with blackout curtains for visual separation when required. At the back of the space, a solid curved wall that matches the curved glass pod hides the master bedroom, the bathroom and the laundry, as well as the staircase that leads to the top floor dedicated to children. Amazing. I particularly love the interplay of the furniture and lighting selections, with Edra’s quirky Cabana cabinet by the Campana Brothers (the thing that looks like a haystack on the ground floor) giving this space a perfect touch of the playful and the unexpected.
