Cose Da Bocia is a debut kids furniture collection designed by Andrea Marcante and Adelaide Testa of Uda Architetti, which made its debut at Fuorisalone during Milan Design Week 2015, in collaboration with Milk Magazine. The collection consists of beds, wardrobes and writing desks in a distinctly modernist style, featuring fusions of pastels shades and 100% eco-friendly materials.‘Cose Da Bocia’ is derived from a new way of envisaging spaces in relation to their inhabitants, proposing furniture that gradually adapts to different needs, capable of entertaining children while bringing out the most ironic side in adults.“The home, including the children’s room, is envisaged as a combination of spaces capable of keeping both the important and more evanescent sides of our personality alive”, point out Marcante and Testa. The collection named “Bocia” (meaning ‘kid’ in Turin jargon) is designed to meet the needs of the new modern day family that is now quite accustomed to inhabiting spaces fluidly, with no separation between the space for adults and children. “We have retraced the history of furniture and children’s spaces from the 1920s to 1970s, in order to come up with a small but entirely customisable collection made of recycled timber, tubular metal, rope and cork, matched with accessories specially designed for us by Gruppo di Installazione.” See more projects by Uda Architetti on Yellowtrace.
