Christopher Boots returned to Milan Design Week for TROVE 2.0, the Australian luxury lighting brand’s second collaborative exhibition with Lost Profile Studio. Exploring themes of natural history, space, and time, both studios presented new collections, building on shared conceptual, material and aesthetic investigations. For Christopher Boots, like many other brands, the show marked their return after a two-year exhibition hibernation. It seems the wait was well worth it, with the team introducing a divine new lighting range, named OURANOS, to the international stage.‘The skies tie us together, their cosmic cycles infinite and overlapping’. The collection draws inspiration from the Greek myth of Ouranos. Ouranos is the God of Heaven, grandfather of Prometheus and consort and son to Earth Goddess Gaia. While mystery clouds the ancient story of Ouranos, as a celestial being he is a signifier of striving. As Christopher Boots so eloquently elaborates—“Concealed by time, OURANOS reminds us to push past our limitations, eyeing the skies above our clouded collective consciousness.” Christopher Boots Trove 2 0 Milan Design Week 2022 Yellowtrace 02 Christopher Boots Trove 2 0 Milan Design Week 2022 Yellowtrace 06 Christopher Boots Trove 2 0 Milan Design Week 2022 Yellowtrace 05 Christopher Boots Trove 2 0 Milan Design Week 2022 Yellowtrace 03 Christopher Boots Trove 2 0 Milan Design Week 2022 Yellowtrace 01 Christopher Boots Trove 2 0 Milan Design Week 2022 Yellowtrace 04 Christopher Boots Trove 2 0 Milan Design Week 2022 Yellowtrace 14 Christopher Boots Trove 2 0 Milan Design Week 2022 Yellowtrace 09 Christopher Boots Trove 2 0 Milan Design Week 2022 Yellowtrace 07 Christopher Boots Trove 2 0 Milan Design Week 2022 Yellowtrace 08 Christopher Boots Trove 2 0 Milan Design Week 2022 Yellowtrace 10 Christopher Boots Trove 2 0 Milan Design Week 2022 Yellowtrace 11 Christopher Boots Trove 2 0 Milan Design Week 2022 Yellowtrace 13 Christopher Boots Trove 2 0 Milan Design Week 2022 Yellowtrace 12 The collection features quartz crystal cradled by brass as the studio remains true to its signature aesthetic. “Glowing spheres hewn from quartz rock sweep away the mists of time,” says Boots, continuing—“revealing an artefact of our home planet, an ode to far-flung maverick ice giant, Uranus.”Christopher Boots has been delivering unparalleled luxury lighting and furniture to an Australian and international audience since 2011.
