Bence Bakonyi, EDITORIAL for CHINA LIFE MAGAZINE. Young Hungarian photographer Bence Bakonyi is a bit of a legend when it comes to striking images with a surreal twist. His work captures engaging moments that leave me with so many questions. How did he capture that shot? So, was the dog jumping or falling? Was the black line part of the image, or inserted later? Etcetera. Apart from their undeniable beauty, it’s this sense of ambiguity that I find most intriguing about Bakonyi’s work. Bence Bakonyi, NAMELESS. Bakonyi’s images almost gives me this strange feeling I’m witnessing an every day scene with superhuman abilities I picked up by watching The Matrix. It’s like I am able to stop the time and get lost in that split second in which beauty is created. So cool! Bence Bakonyi, DIGNITY. Bakonyi has a degree in photography from Moholy-Nagy University of Art and Design in Budapest. He has since exhibited all around the world, and based himself in Shanghai and Hong Kong. Young, talented and ambitions. He is certainly the one to watch. Bence Bakonyi, DANFALVI. See more of Bakonyi’s work on his website, blog and Behance.
