BassamFellows has turned a former blacksmith’s workshop into a lifestyle gallery in Milan’s Brera district, featuring Europe’s most extensive selection of products by furniture designers Craig Bassam and Scott Fellows. The renowned space, designed by architect Michele de Lucchi, was traditionally used for one-off design exhibitions and pop up events, before becoming a dedicated space known as EXIT, an adventurous Milanese gallery, event and exhibition venue.

The interior has been dusted up and transformed into a full-time retail gallery that marks the company’s expansion from furniture design into other lifestyle products, including shoes and eyewear for both men and women. These lifestyle products share the same qualities and sensibility that distinguish the furniture line – focusing on fine materials, exquisite craftsmanship, longevity, pared-down details, and a sense of timelessness. “The whole idea for us was to have a space we could have fun with,” explains Fellows. “This isn’t a fashion collection, it’s not even a collection. It’s about individual pieces.”

Put this one on your list of places to visit in Milan during the upcoming Milan Design Week.
