Founded by São Paulo-based architect Bárbara Fischer, Bravio Studios blends art and functionality through experimental processes that celebrate the power of manual craftsmanship and creative instinct.

In a multi-faceted approach, Bravio Studios’ creations span an impressive range, from delicate jewellery pieces to bold furniture designs. At the heart of each item lies a commitment to manual modelling, with metal serving as the brand’s signature material. Whether working with silver, stainless steel, or aluminium, Fischer and her team propose fresh interpretations of these traditionally rigid materials through handmade processes.

In a clever twist on conventional design, Bravio Studios’ latest launch transforms remnants of Botteh handmade rugs into stylish handbags. This approach not only repurposes material but also brings the comfort of home interiors into urban spaces as wearable art.

Fischer explains the concept: “It’s a way of valuing the work of those who produced these rugs—both by giving the cut-out parts a continuity of use and by bringing a new look to the quality of the work there. By using small cut-outs of these rugs, it’s possible to see details and designs that go unnoticed when looking at larger pieces.”

True to the brand’s aesthetic, the bag handles are manually modelled in clay before being cast in aluminium or bronze. This meticulous process mirrors the creation of fine jewellery, allowing for unexpected and welcome surprises in the final product.

“The handles are produced with the same care as the jewels: they start with the sketch and go through an intuitive process of manual modelling to then be cast in the specific metals,” Fischer shares. “It’s a process in which surprises are welcome and become even more important to the final product than the design itself.”

Bravio Studios’ approach to design celebrates the value of handwork at every stage. From the initial sketches to the final stitching, each piece is a unique, made-to-order creation that showcases the beauty of manual processes in contemporary design.
