Warsaw-based agency Mamastudio has turned a series of residential spaces into their own boutique hotel, showcasing furniture and artwork sourced from Polish designers. Mamastudio worked with local architect Mateusz Baumiller to design the interiors of the hotel, which pairs traditional elements with forward-thinking local design talent.“Autor Rooms is meant to attract people looking for beauty, for unpretentious atmosphere and for an opportunity to connect with people with similar interests,” explains Mamastudio. Although each of the hotel’s bedrooms look different, Baumiller tied all the spaces together with common elements. Visitors are invited to browse the hotel’s vinyl record collection and library, and art and furniture is available for guests to purchase. Custom-designed furniture and fittings features the likes of Beza Projekt, Porcelana Kristoff, Maria Jeglińska, Comforty, Segiet Oniszh and Ultralight, Paged Meble, Purpura and BISK. Bath robes are designed by Zuocorp fashion studio while the art is curated by Starter Gallery.“We love our city and know all its secret treasures. We want our guests to explore Warsaw beyond the usual, uninspired tourist routes to show them the real McCoy,” state Mamastudio.” Our goal is to create new quality in the hospitality market in Warsaw. We want to fill the niche between cheap hostels and private accommodation on the one hand, and big names and luxe hotels on the other.” [Images courtesy of Mamastudio.] Share the love:FacebookTwitterLinkedInEmailPinterest One Response Aleesha October 7, 2015 Some pretty interesting bathroom ‘pod’ installations.
