It’s an exciting day when the Australian Interior Design Awards shortlist gets announced. Exciting, because any day when the talent, the passion and the hard work of our industry is celebrated is a very good day. It is especially exciting however when such high calibre of projects can be viewed en masse. If ever proof was needed that the Australian Design Community Has Got It Goin’ On, you just need to take one quick look at this year’s shortlist. It is evident that Australia has an incredibly powerful and diverse pool of world class talent. Our design industry is thriving, and it is an honour and a privilege to be a part of such a clever, capable and all-round shit-hot community. Hooray! Here are just some of my favourite projects shortlisted this year. Make sure you close your mouth and/ or pick your jaw up off the floor when you’re done.
