Artedomus Brisbane Showroom by The Stella Collective

The Stella Collective and Thomas Coward once again collaborated on a slice of tropical paradise – Brisbane showroom for stone, tile and surfaces brand Artedomus. For the duo’s third showroom for Artedomus, defining elements and scenes from past projects were readapted for a Brisbane identity. The interior references the heady glamour and pizazz of 1980’s Miami resort.

“Australia really knows how to do tropical design beautifully; the recipe has been written and documented on that… we needed to push something further that was going to deliver the unexpected to Artedomus’ clients,” said Coward and The Stella Collective.

A four-part journey through the showroom takes visitors through Artedomus’ new materials and signature colour palette. The reception features a custom stone desk with indented panels the designers describe as ‘shrine-like’. A light-filled atrium moves through to a surrealist apartment with a Colosseum wall-scape, showcasing exclusive furniture and finishes.

The showroom puts the retailer’s bathware products centre stage, with customers shown curated examples of the Agape baths, stone and tile collection. The journey concludes in the library, a testament to an architect and designer’s study. The space serves as both a meeting place and an archive of the retailer’s extensive range of unique tiles, mosaics and architectural ceramics.

The interior was more specifically inspired by the set design of Brian De Palma’s ‘Scarface’, highlighting the Miami modernism aesthetic known as ‘MiMo’ at its peak and glory.

“I wanted to bring this iconic design era to Artedomus to celebrate their product whilst paying homage to the great architects and designers that have come before. We used these scenographic moments to capture the spirit of this era to display the amazing products,” concludes Hana Hakim of The Stella Collective.
