A little while ago I came across this blog post on Hello Sandwich {don’t you think that’s just the cutest little name for a blog}.

The post was about Megan Morton’s new book titled ‘Home Love’which will be on sale later this month {March 29th to be exact}. For those of you who may not be familiar with Megan, she is a highly regarded and hugely talented interior stylist who works with clients both here and overseas. Now, I’ve never personally met the fabulous Ms Morton, but I’ve always admired her work, and I often either read about her on blogs or I hear her mentioned by the people I know. One of my favourite bloggers, Lucy from The Design Files, often mentions or writes about Megan – in fact you can read her fantastic interview with Megan right here. My talented friends, Juliette and Sarah-Jane of Arent&Pyke, have been fortunate enough to work with Megan on one of their award winning interior projects…

The most bizarre thing of all is this – when Husband and I moved into our place in May last year, I received some mail which was addressed to Mrs Megan Morton. Weeeeird, right? {Queue music from Twilight Zone}. Yes, you guessed it – turns out that Megan used to live in the apartment we are living in right now.

So why is this so interesting? I don’t know, I thought you might like my little story. The reason for my post was quite simple – the image on the cover of Megan’s new book is of a room I get to see every day. Check it out – the photo above is the book cover {duh!} and the one below is of our apartment taken by Husband. How cool is that?

I think you have to buy the book and then buy a book stand…then position it on your dining table. Is that wrong? cheerio k-j-f

My goodness, very weird – was flicking through “Home Love” at Myer this avo, as I spotted review in this months Inside Out. It’s a gorgeous apartment. BTW, I loooved your feature in Apartment Therapy- just saw it 10 mins ago. A really beautiful place..and your love of things well made really shows. A true expression of you and hubby. I suspect that by the time you’re grey and old (yes, a looong time from now), you’re apartment will tell a thousand stories through your collections over the years. Well done on the piece! x
