Apartment 108 designed by Rodolphe Parente is located in the heart of Paris. Just one glance is enough to realise that this home belongs to passionate design lovers. There are four key areas in this apartment – a kitchen nook featuring brushed brass cabinetry, combined living and dining, and a sleeping area separated by rotating bookcases from a bright bathroom. The interior is full of contrasting materials and colours, creating a dialogue founded on principals of strong opposition.

Inspired by the greatness of Pierre Chareau and Jean Michel Frank, Rodolphe Parente decided to study interior design and furniture design. He graduated in interior design from the prestigious École Nationale des Beaux Arts de Dijon, with high honours. He went on to study at the Ecole Supérieure des Arts Décoratifs de Strasbourg and graduated in product design with high honours and as a valedictorian from ECAL – Ecole Cantonale d’Art de Lausanne. Today, Rodolphe Parente runs his own design studio that combines visual comfort and functionality, with a particular attention to detail and strong focus on high quality production. Based in Paris, Rodolphe enjoys creative projects based in the wide scope of interior and product design, working on luxury hotels, private residence, flagship showrooms and furniture collections.

His work demonstrates both a keen knowledge of the craft and an understanding of retail design as a vector of emotion and commercial identity for performance. To give his creations the right “tone”, Rodolphe makes the user the starting point and the focus of his creative process. Inspired by everyday life, he explores the potential of materials and textures to create an intimate blend of emotions and sensibilities.

I am his newest and biggest fan.
