His often complex arrangements referencing the scales and melodies in music, and patterns derived from nature such as leaves, clouds and water ripples. Since 2010, Gilmore has been collaborating with Ghostly International, creating several album covers for the artist Gold Panda, along with releasing his own visual compositions under Ghostly International Editions. Gilmore’s extensive list of clients includes Wired Magazine, The New York Times, Fast Company, Wallpaper*, Nike, and Warp Records.In this video, Gilmore discussed his creative process – his beginnings with hand drawings and how computers and digital art have changed his approach.
