Digital Grotesque is the first fully immersive, solid, human-scale, enclosed structure that is entirely 3D printed out of sand. This structure, measuring 16 square meters, is materialised with details at the threshold of human perception. Every aspect is composed by custom-designed algorithms.

Digital Grotesque is the meeting of two minds Michael Hansmeyer & Benjamin Dillenburger. Both are architects and programmers with a focus on the computation to generate architectural forms. Benjamin is also member of the Spinoff-company KAISERSROT, an interdisciplinary consulting & design team exploring the potential of information technology for architecture and urban planning.

Smart dudes.
